This Privacy Policy explains how Daddy Ash Limited (“Daddy Ash”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use our website, daddyash.com (the “website”). We are a wholesale and distribution company supplying cosmetics, beauty, household and perfumery products, with offices in Ghana and the United Kingdom.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Daddy Ash Limited is the organisation responsible for your personal information (the “data controller”).

For any question about this policy or your personal information, write to us at info@daddyash.com and mark your message “Data Protection”.

2. The laws that apply

We handle personal information in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and, for people in the United Kingdom, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3. What information we collect, and why

We only collect what you choose to send us through the website, plus a small amount of technical information needed to run it safely.

Customer / Supplier enquiry form

What: your name, phone number and email address, whether you are a customer or a supplier, and the page of our website you used.

Why: to respond to your enquiry and discuss supplying you or buying from you.

Our legal basis (UK GDPR): taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.

Contact form

What: your name, email address, the subject and the message you write. A copy of your message is also sent to our team by email.

Why: to answer your question, request or feedback.

Our legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps before a contract where relevant.

Careers — Submit Your CV

What: your name, email address, phone number, the position you are interested in, and the CV file you upload (PDF or Word). Your CV may contain further details you choose to include, such as work history, education and address.

Why: to consider you for current or future roles.

Our legal basis: your consent, which you give by submitting your CV, and steps at your request to be considered for employment. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 9).

Please do not include sensitive details in your CV or messages, such as health information, religion, or government ID numbers, unless they are needed for the role.

Technical information

Like most websites, the server that hosts our website keeps standard technical logs (for example your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested). These are held by our hosting provider and used to keep the website secure and working properly.

What we do not collect

4. Cookies

Our website uses one essential “session” cookie. It keeps our forms secure (it helps us confirm a form was really sent from our website) and makes our simple anti-spam question work. It does not identify you personally, is not used for tracking or advertising, and is deleted when you close your browser. Because it is strictly necessary for the website to work safely, it is set without asking for consent. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but our forms may then not work.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:

6. Links to other websites and services

Our website links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp (chat and community links) and our online job board (hosted by ClayHR). If you click through, you leave our website and that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.

7. Where your information is handled

We operate in Ghana and the United Kingdom, so your information may be accessed in both countries, and it may be stored on servers wherever our hosting provider operates. Where information leaves the country in which you gave it, we take steps to make sure it stays protected as required by the laws that apply.

8. How long we keep your information

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. Your rights

You have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

To use any of these rights, email info@daddyash.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply as quickly as we can and within the time the law requires, normally within one month. There is no charge, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

We will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

10. Keeping your information secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure connections, password-protected staff accounts that only open the parts of our system each person needs, and a record of staff activity in our website’s admin area. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if something goes wrong.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at info@daddyash.com. You can complain in any way that suits you, including by email, phone or in writing. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, keep you informed, and tell you the outcome without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection regulator:

12. Children

Our website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make an important change, we will make it clear on our website.
